As you can imagine, these adventures are many!
Adventures filled with stress, anxiety, and sweat!
Countless hours of studying, deep breaths before each lesson, and everything else you can imagine. Early morning travels, waiting in airports, and delays. I always told myself that a trainer is like a pilot, and each lesson is a flight. Of course, I always wished for smooth flights! But, as you can expect, that doesn’t always happen…
I often encountered turbulence and many challenges to face during the journey! A difficult audience, an easy audience, or however else you’d like to describe it… In the end, though, I conclude that even the most challenging participant, once they realize they can succeed, becomes a wonderful and unique trainer. I always love the moment when I meet the most skeptical participant, who at first passionately insists they can’t teach, but ends up admitting and acknowledging that they’ve experienced a miracle! They realize, during this journey, that not only do they want to succeed, but they also can succeed. A transformation miracle, that is! I believe no one can resist the joy of sharing knowledge that we all carry within us.
Fear creates many misconceptions on this journey. You feel embarrassed and afraid! It’s like a new profession you didn’t know about at first, and most of the time, you probably never even heard of it as a child. It’s something entirely unknown! Surely, no one would have ever suggested you become an adult educator! I consider it a modern profession that pushes you outside your comfort zone and teaches you to want to share your inner world, which you always carry in your mind and heart.
It is the right life gives you to influence, inspire, and motivate others to bring out their hidden treasures! You become one with the offering and the love for progress. You give your own little seed of knowledge, which for someone else becomes a tool for their demanding daily life. I feel that one day, we will all realize that we should teach what we know, because what you know well, someone else doesn’t know at all, and their life would certainly change by having that knowledge.
The adventures of my own journey have taught me that when you walk into a room, feeling love and acceptance for your audience, acceptance of each individual’s personality and level of knowledge, acceptance of everyone’s hidden anxieties about being exposed, and acceptance of the fatigue and uniqueness of everyone, then, in a magical way, everything changes! The room is filled with positive energy, joy, passion, and hope for something better! Something better that we don’t just wait to happen, but we feel a part of it and confident that we can contribute to its creation.
The adventures of a trainer have brought me many joys.
I feel particularly grateful to all those who helped me stand in a classroom and offered me my own microphone! Someone once told me: “Hatzi, the microphone is yours…”. A microphone that always had one unique goal, to activate and empower each participant so that they leave the room better than when they came in! Every single time!
A big thank you to all the businesses that trusted me with the development of their staff and to all those who have walked with me until today on my educational path, becoming co-travelers in my “trainer’s adventures.”
